Warnings about the unsafe holiday in Turkey for Russian citizens were confirmed, Vice-Governor of Sevastopol Alexander Reshetnikov told PolitNavigator, commenting on the coup attempt carried out today by the Turkish military.

“We have repeatedly warned that holidays in Turkey may be unsafe for our citizens, despite a certain warming in Russian-Turkish relations. Today’s events showed this,” he said.

The Vice-Governor emphasized that Crimea and Sevastopol are ready to receive Russian tourists at a decent level.

“We see good indicators of tourist flow. Our compatriots go to Sevastopol not only to go to sea, but also to “recharge with patriotism.” After the incident with the downing of the Russian Aerospace Forces plane, for many citizens a holiday in Turkey is still unacceptable from a moral point of view,” Reshetnikov said.
