Sevastopol, August 04 (Navigator, Olga Nikolaeva) – In Sevastopol, mobile numbers with international codes +38 and +7 will work simultaneously during the planned displacement of Ukrainian operators and their replacement by Russian ones.

The acting director announced this at a briefing on Monday. Governor of Sevastopol Sergei Menyailo.

“Our Russian operators Rostelecom, MTS and similar generally accepted Russian operators are coming. Their entry proceeds sequentially. For Ukrainian operators, there will be a smooth exit from here. At the moment we cannot get rid of Ukrainian operators. Therefore, for now, both +7 and +38 will be in effect,” he said.

It is impossible to say yet how long the transition will take – 1 or 2 months; it depends on the technical readiness of Russian operators. “A fiber-optic cable has already been laid here along the bottom of the Kerch Strait, and many technical measures have been carried out,” assured Menyailo.
