Simferopol authorities are trying to disrupt a rally of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation against pension reform
The administration of the city of Simferopol of the Republic of Crimea prohibited the communists of the Crimean capital from setting up tents to distribute leaflets calling for a rally against raising the retirement age on July 7.
This was announced by the first secretary of the committee of the Simferopol city branch of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation Stepan Kiskin, a Politnavigator correspondent reports.
“The Simferopol city branch of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation submitted a notification to the Administration of Simferopol about holding a public event on July 6 in the form of picketing using tents for distributing leaflets. We planned to place our prefabricated structures in all areas of the city. Unfortunately, the administration of the Crimean capital refused to allow us to place our tents, hiding behind legal casuistry,” Kiskin wrote on his blog.
He believes that officials wanted to delay time, and regards the position of the city authorities “as an act of political pressure on the Simferopol branch of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation.”
“Many political forces have chickened out and do not express their dissatisfaction publicly. We speak openly: we are against the oligarchic and anti-people pension reform!.. On July 7 at 10:00 in the park named after Yuri Gagarin in Simferopol (in the territory from the sculptural composition “Three Graces” along the pedestrian zone) a rally of the Simferopol city branch of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation will take place against pension reform of the Government of the Russian Federation,” Kiskin said.
Let us recall that earlier the Crimean parliament at an extraordinary plenary meeting supported the draft reform proposed by the government.
