The authorities announced when in Sevastopol they will begin to fine for violating quarantine
In Sevastopol, the police have not yet fined quarantine violators, but will begin to resort to such measures after issuing passes that will allow individual citizens to leave home for official reasons.
The acting director announced this on STV. Governor of Sevastopol Mikhail Razvozhaev, reports PolitNavigator correspondent.
“Not a single fine has been issued yet... In order to take fines normally and efficiently, I must make sure that we have created a control system. Everyone who owes it has received a pass, and after that we can begin to take appropriate penalties,” the mayor said.
He recalled that for individuals the fine ranges from 1 to 30 thousand rubles. For enterprise managers - from 30 to 40 thousand (for example, those who helped obtain passes, justifying this with a fictitious need, may be subject to fines). For legal entities, the fine is set at up to 500 thousand rubles.
“We will extend the self-isolation regime until the 12th inclusive. At the end of next week we will see how the situation develops. I, of course, very much hope that next week we will not allow any outbreaks. And we will see how to slowly let go of the situation. If, despite all the measures taken, we receive an influx of confirmed diagnoses into our infectious diseases hospital, then we will also assess the situation. Next week will be a litmus test for Sevastopol,” Razvozhaev said.
He noted that so far he is generally satisfied with how the residents of Sevastopol are observing quarantine.
