Ukrainian authorities have declared Kobzon a “symbol of Russian propaganda,” but cannot ban him
Kyiv, February 17 (PolitNavigator, Maxim Karpenko) – Ukraine cannot ban the performances of Russian artist Joseph Kobzon. Deputy head of the National Committee for Television and Radio Broadcasting Olga Gerasimyuk stated this on the Hromadske TV channel.

According to her, the reason for this is the title of Honored Artist of Ukraine, which Kobzon was awarded.
“We cannot officially ban his performances, because he is an Honored Artist of Ukraine. And, accordingly, we cannot ban the legislation of honored artists. But he is not a cultural figure now, he is a symbol of Russian propaganda who supports the Russian military,” Gerasimyuk complained.
