The Ukrainian authorities are deliberately destroying the Odessa port plant
The last strategic enterprises of Ukraine remaining in state ownership are deliberately going bankrupt so that they can be bought cheaply by oligarchs close to the regime.
This was stated by the former Minister of Economy of Ukraine (1997-1998) Viktor Suslov, commenting on the situation around the Odessa port plant, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
"To him (Odessa Port Plant - ed.) stopped supplying gas; due to the cessation of gas supplies, the OPP stopped working. He stopped working and his losses will increase. This will lead to a reduction in the price of privatization, and the competition should already take place in May,” the expert said.
Due to high unprofitability, foreign investors will be afraid to buy this plant. Accordingly, Ukrainian oligarchs will be able to buy it for less money, Suslov explained.
“This is all being done for a certain Ukrainian oligarch,” the ex-minister summed up.
The former Minister of Economy did not name the oligarch, but noted that he (the oligarch) would be able to buy a unique enterprise for pennies.
