The Ukrainian authorities are hushing up the scandal with illegal weapons among the Majlis militants
The Ukrainian authorities are hushing up the scandal with illegal weapons discovered in the camp of Mejlis militants in the Kherson region, and previously reported missing from the Aidar battalion.
Social activist Gennady Sivak told PolitNavigator about this.

According to him, the weapon appears in the criminal case materials as “ownerless.”
“The fact is that the local Kherson battalion armed itself in the same way. Behind these transactions there are high-ranking officials in the structures of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, so opening a criminal case on illegal gangs and weapons is the same as opening a criminal case against themselves. At this stage, the matter will slow down, otherwise a large corruption component will emerge.
As for Poltorak’s statement that the battalion will be registered, then the Mejlis members will simply be led by the nose. They have a different religion, and new regulations need to be made for such a battalion. In addition, the registration of the battalion will not happen, because no one needs armed people who openly declare separatism, “Crimean Tatar national autonomy”, no one will arm them. Even if we imagine that they will be registered with the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the possibility cannot be ruled out that immediately after that they will be sent, for example, to Avdievka,” said Sivak.
