The Ukrainian authorities announced that they have “significantly reduced corruption” and are asking the population for money for the war.
Kyiv, August 19 (Navigator, Yuriy Kovalchuk) - Ukraine does not have enough money for the war, but funds can be taken from citizens, said Advisor to the Minister of Internal Affairs Anton Gerashchenko on Channel 5.

“Our state was deliberately robbed, especially heavily in the last 4 years. The budget is empty, the treasury is plundered. Ukraine is now trying to stabilize the situation through loans. A significant part of the economy is located in territory captured by terrorists, factories are idle, and the budget is not being filled. We cannot say that Ukraine is secure and capable of waging war, especially since war is an expensive business.
Income tax will be increased by 1,5% - the country needs this money. It is very good that citizens can support the army and help provide it. But we have significantly reduced corruption, which means tax collection will improve, and patriots will finally come to power. But we will still have to improve the condition of our army,” Gerashchenko said.
