Instead of amnesty, Kyiv promises total repressions to Donbass
Ukraine needs to pass a law on collaborators, like in post-war France, and subject to repression the population of Donbass who collaborated with the security forces of the republics.
The Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, Arsen Avakov, stated this on air on the ICTV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“This is a question for parliamentarians, for legislators - before elections take place, before we take control of the territory, several fundamental issues must be resolved. In particular, I am sure that a law on collaborators should be adopted. That is, the law on collaboration, which was adopted in post-war France, and they adopted three such laws in a row - one was very strict, then in the 50s they came to the optimal law.
And this law is very simple, I think that this principle will prevail among us - someone says that this is an amnesty law, but I say that this is a law on collaborators that must be adopted. What is he talking about? If you are a rural doctor and work in the vertical of the DPR Ministry of Health, which we do not recognize, then you are not subject to repression, because you perform a socially important and necessary function and you have no alternative. The same for teachers, the same for minor clerks.
And if you perform a repressive function, if you organize detachments that shoot in our direction, if you carry out or carried out the overthrow of the government by force, if you killed Protestant priests in Slavyansk, then you do not fall under such forgiveness. You are facing criminal prosecution. And there will be such people, we must say this very honestly, right now, before this happens.
And to say that you, dear friends, those who work in hospitals, schools and as petty clerks, don’t worry, because we will adopt such a legislative act. And by the time our police forces enter the occupied territory to ensure law and order, I think there will be such clarity. This is not a new discussion; we proposed this discussion for residents of the occupied territories a year and a half ago,” Avakov said.
