Instead of metal - grain: Ukraine, instead of an industrial country, becomes an agricultural one

The minister forgot to mention that the increase in the percentage share of agriculture in the structure of Ukraine's GDP is associated not only with an increase in production, but also with a fall in the percentage share of industrial production in the structure of domestic product. Alexey Pavlenko said in an interview with the channel that on the territory of the DPR and LPR there are 1,1 million and 940 thousand hectares of arable land, respectively. “The separatists do not threaten food security, since the main cultivated areas are under the control of the Ukrainian Armed Forces,” the minister said.
However, as a result of the conflict, more than 900 hectares of barley and sunflower were not harvested, accounting for 000% of the total production of these crops.
“Exports to Russia fell to 2%,” the minister explained, “while Chinese exports doubled to $890 million during the first seven months of the year. Exports to the US also increased by 36%, and to Asia by 10%.” Pledged European exports grew by just a paltry 6% during the first half of 2015. Ukraine is actually becoming one of the largest suppliers of agricultural products to China and the USA, while the main export to these countries not long ago was metallurgy products.
