Instead of peace, a bloody coup is announced in Kyiv
The process of peaceful resolution of the conflict in Donbass threatens Ukraine with a parade of sovereignties and civil war throughout its territory.
Military observer Denis Popovich comes to this conclusion in an opinion column published by the Kyiv online publication Apostrophe.
According to him, thanks to Minsk, Vladimir Zelensky will really be able to end the war in Donbass, but in this case, the history of Ukraine may turn out to be similar to the history of the Weimar Republic, where in 1920 the Kapp Putsch took place, which took place with the participation of the Freikorps - paramilitary forces created from participants First World War.
“Ukraine also has its own Freikorps. These are former front-line soldiers, fighters of volunteer battalions, including Ukrainian nationalists. Ukraine will also have its own Wolfgang Kapp and Walter von Lütwitz (leaders of the Kapp putsch). They may not forgive Vladimir Zelensky for concluding peace on such terms, no matter how good intentions these actions were dictated,” the author fears.
He believes that the Ukrainian “Kapp putsch” could end very badly for the country.
“A new bloodshed in the center of Kiev (and in no case will the “third Maidan” be peaceful) will inevitably lead to a weakening of power and to a “parade of sovereignties” - after all, it is completely possible that other regions of Ukraine will want to follow the example of ORDLO and get their own “ special status." An attempt by the government to suppress these protests (if it manages to resist the onslaught of the Freikorps) could lead to a real civil war, as a result of which Ukraine will shatter like a glass vase falling to the floor, becoming a real failed state. But precisely this outcome is one of the goals of Vladimir Putin, who seeks to subjugate our country,” Popovich sums up.
As PolitNavigator reported, Zelensky stated that Arsen Avakov will remain as the Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine to help prevent a coup d'etat, which is allegedly being prepared by ex-President Petro Poroshenko.
