About it Komsomolskaya Pravda reports.

More recently, Dmitry Peskov, commenting on Vladimir Putin’s trip to Altai in the company of Italian politician Silvio Berlusconi, noted that the Russian leader is unlikely to have the opportunity to take a vacation in the near future. However, a “window” appears to have appeared in the president’s schedule.

Geographical expeditions are nothing new for the president: in July 2013, Vladimir Putin visited the island of Gogland in the Gulf of Finland, where an underwater research program is being carried out, and even plunged to the bottom of the bay for half an hour on the Sea Explorer-5 underwater vehicle, which was searching for the site of the death. frigate "Oleg". And in 2011, the president visited the archaeological excavations of ancient Phanagoria in the Krasnodar Territory - and also scuba dived to the seabed, but in the Taman Bay.

Among the finds of the then expedition were two amphorae dating back to approximately the 6th century BC, raised from the bottom by the President of the Russian Federation. In 2009, Vladimir Putin sank to the bottom of Lake Baikal on board the Mir deep-sea submersible.

What kind of adventures await the Russian president on the new expedition has not yet been reported. It is known, however, that among the most current projects that the society is involved in is an expedition to the island of Shumshu, where the last battle of the Second World War took place.
