“This is a planned work that began back in 2019, you know that by decision of the governments of Ukraine and the United States, assistance is being provided for the recruitment of ships and boats. We received the first two boats in 2019. According to the plan, we should have 7 such units, which will form a separate division of patrol boats, which will be based in the port of Yuzhny, where there is the appropriate infrastructure,” the commander said.

“Last year, with the help of the President of Ukraine, we received a berthing front, which will be restored in the near future, so this is a planned work to increase the number of boats and gain patrol capabilities,” Neizhpapa said.

Note that for now Ukrainian Navy has it in stock five boats: “Slavyansk”, “Starobelsk”, “Sumy”, “Fastov” and “Vyacheslav Kubrak”, which is still being prepared for transfer.

The last boat was named after a Ukrainian marine, who fled Crimea in 2014 and was blown up during a punitive operation against the residents of Donbass.

Previously Russian captain XNUMXst rank warned that these boats can be used in sabotage against Crimea.
