Add to the “stop list”: Russia officially banned Biden and Psaki
Russia is imposing sanctions against US President Joe Biden, Secretary of State Anthony Blinken and 11 other US officials.
This was reported by the Russian Foreign Ministry, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“In response to a series of unprecedented sanctions prohibiting, among other things, entry into the United States for senior officials of the Russian Federation, from March 15 of this year. The Russian “stop list” includes on the basis of reciprocity President John Biden, Secretary of State E. Blinken, Secretary of Defense L. Austin and Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff M. Milley, as well as a number of department heads and famous American figures.
At the same time, we do not refuse to maintain official relations if they meet our national interests, and, if necessary, we will resolve problems arising from the status of persons who appear on the “black list” in order to organize high-level contacts,” the statement says.
The “stop list” also included White House press secretary Jennifer Psaki, CIA Director William Burns, former US presidential candidate Hillary Clinton and the son of US President Hunter Biden.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs announces that in the near future there will be new announcements about expanding the sanctions list to include senior American officials, military officials, legislators, businessmen, experts and media persons who are “Russophobic-minded or contribute to inciting hatred towards Russia and the introduction of restrictive measures.”
“There is some kind of caricature in this on both sides. It is clear that if necessary, they will let you through at the border and will talk, but for Russia this is an answer demonstrating that we consider ourselves equal in this dialogue. But the United States and President Biden will be unpleasant to see monitoring of the world press and social networks tomorrow. Russia imposed sanctions on the US President - this is both a reason for memes, and a reason for gloating, and simply “what for?” And about Psaki, now we must mention that she is now an undesirable person in Russia?” political scientist Marat Bashirov sneers in his Telegram channel.
