Suddenly: Novinsky assures that he did not buy the mining and processing plant from Yulia Tymoshenko
Billionaire People's Deputy from the Opposition Bloc Vadim Novinsky assures that he bought the shares of the Southern Mining and Processing Plant from Cypriot companies, and never collaborated with Yulia Tymoshenko “in a commercial sense,” a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
He spoke about this in an interview with the Kyiv publication Ukrainska Pravda.
“We entered into a deal to acquire shares of the Southern Mining and Processing Plant in 2001. And in 1999, we were already shareholders of the Ingulets Mining and Processing Plant - we then had about 47 or 48% of its shares,” Novinsky said.
He denies that the purchase of YuGOK was carried out from Tymoshenko’s structures.
“No, she was not a partner in this plant. I negotiated with people who were then in her circle to acquire shares of the Southern Mining and Processing Plant. We bought these shares from three Cypriot companies,” Novinsky claims.
“Tymoshenko and I have never collaborated commercially,” he emphasized.
“We simply bought shares of the Southern Mining and Processing Plant from Cypriot structures. Whether they were controlled by Tymoshenko, I do not have such information,” Novinsky noted.
