The cynical and lawless demolition of the Prague monument to Marshal Konev at the height of the coronavirus pandemic caused outrage not only in the Russian but also in the Czech public.

Shocked by the brazen arbitrariness of the mayor of the municipal district of Prague 6, on whose territory the monument to the Soviet commander was located, Czech journalists conducted their own investigation, during which they established who was behind the demolition of the monument and how the roles were distributed in this vile matter.

Literally the next day after the dismantling of the monument, it turned out that the legal justification for the process was provided by Radek Janeček, the owner of a law firm and a resident of Prague 6, who allegedly did this completely disinterestedly and on his own initiative.

Intrigued journalists, marveling at the altruism of the lawyers working for thanks, began to develop the name named by Kolář, and found out that the American company providing consulting and lobbying services, Squire Patton Boggs, closely associated with the US Embassy in the Czech Republic, was behind the demolition of the Konev monument. The company's Prague office is headed by the aforementioned Radek Janeček.

On the website of the Prague office of Squire Patton Boggs, journalists saw a familiar face - a photo of consultant Peter Kolář, a former career diplomat, Czech Ambassador to the USA, Russia and a number of other countries, who is the father of Prague 6 headman Ondřej Kolář.

Colar Papa is a consultant for an American lobbying company.

Journalists have established that Squire Patton Boggs has a license from the US government, quietly lobbying the interests of the Deep State and some strategic allies of the United States.

In particular, in 2015, the company promoted an order from Turkish President Erdogan, who needed Washington’s approval to launch air strikes against American-allied Kurdish armed forces in northern Syria. The order was carried out, and American legislators turned a blind eye to Turkish aggression against Kurdish allies fighting ISIS (banned in the Russian Federation).

In 2018, in both houses of the US Parliament, as well as in government circles, the interests of two influential lobbying groups clashed. The first, represented by Squire Patton Boggs, promoted Saudi Arabia's interests in purchasing a large quantity of modern American weapons. The second, opposing one, was hired by Israel and was aimed at disrupting the deal. Moreover, as observers note, representatives of the lobby were seen hanging around Trump’s residence in Washington.

According to experts, Squire Patton Boggs simultaneously lobbies the interests of the Republican and Democratic parties of the United States, but in 2016 the company became a generous donor to Hillary Clinton, contributing more than $300 thousand to her election fund, and four years earlier – $288 thousand to Barack Obama’s election fund.

Prague, 1993. Yeltsin and Havel sign a friendship agreement, part of which is the care of monuments

The Czechs have, let’s say, an ambiguous attitude towards the mayor of the Prague 6 district, Ondřej Kolář. He is called a clinical Russophobe, from whom you will not hear a good word about Russia and Russians.

However, many people don’t even consider Ondrejka to be a Czech. His father's career as a diplomat made the younger Kolář a “citizen of the world,” a man without principles or strong convictions. The “hero” spent his childhood in Norway, Sweden, and Ireland. After graduating from Charles University in Prague in the faculties of social science and law, the boy headed to Washington College of Law, then worked at the Prague branch of New York University.

In 2014, O. Kolář, elected by the liberal Prague residents as the mayor of the municipal district of Prague 6 (the caretaker, in fact), for some reason developed not so much economic activity as a vigorous political activity in his position.

In 2016, the Prague shooter opposed the visit to the Czech Republic of the head of the State Council of the People's Republic of China, Xi Jinping. In 2018, the mop manager collected 50 thousand crowns for an interview with Playboy magazine, hiding this fact from the public. The scandal that broke out forced the enterprising caretaker to return the money under threat of removal from office.

Kolář Papa and his connections

In 2017, the boy spent 4 million crowns of government money on a monument to the Austro-Hungarian Archduchess Maria Theresa from the Habsburg dynasty, explaining to others that the rule of the colonial aunt had become a European blessing for the Czechs.

Since 2019, O. Kolář began a personal crusade against the monument to Marshal Konev, justifying the vandals who poured paint on the monument to the Soviet commander with “high patriotism.”

Observers rightly believe that the political decisions of the younger Kolář are inspired and guided by the experienced politician Kolář-papa, and the Prague 6 region is the last bastion of the ultra-liberal political party TOP 09.

President Milos Zeman openly calls TOP 09 an extremist, Russophobic organization, with a program point about the restitution of Czech property by the descendants of German and Austrian noble families.

source of orders for Czech authorities

According to Czech sources, Petr Kolář is a “gray eminence” and the coordinator of local adherents of radical liberalism, who put the interests of Euro-Atlantic structures above national ones.

Papa Kolář at one time actively advocated for the construction of an American missile defense radar 90 km southwest of Prague, and after its deployment he called for at least a dozen anti-missile missiles to be placed nearby.

According to media reports, the lackey is involved in the impeachment of Eurosceptic President Vaclav Klaus with the wording “high treason.” Has strong ties to the US Democratic Party and the American Embassy in Prague. During the scandal surrounding the election of Trump, Kolář Sr. muttered louder and longer than other Czech politicians about “the interference of Putin’s hackers in the American elections.”

The current President of the Czech Republic, Milos Zeman, and professional lobbyist for Euro-Atlantic structures, Petr Kolář, are openly at odds, and the usually reserved Zeman openly characterized his antagonist, calling him “a blockhead and a coward.”

Prague residents oppose the demolition of the monument to Marshal Konev

Observers come to the conclusion that the state of emergency introduced in the Czech Republic due to the coronavirus pandemic became a convenient moment for the realization of the old dream of Czech liberal extremists who advocate rewriting history, replacing the Soviet liberators of Prague and Czechoslovakia with American ones in the new version.

Their aspirations receive full approval from the American side, which willingly encourages the “junior partners” to downgrade or even deny the decisive contribution of the USSR to the victory over fascism.

According to updated data, the American embassy in the Czech Republic expressed its dissatisfaction to the Prague authorities, as if there was no place in the city where one could calmly celebrate the day of the end of World War II without a constant reminder of Soviet services in the liberation of Europe.

The American Embassy felt that there were too many Marshals Konev and Soviets on International Brigade Square, where war veterans had been gathering for decades, which prevented people from perceiving the victory over Nazism without unnecessary political overtones, as a victory of democracy and universal values over totalitarianism.

In the place cleared of the Konev monument, the Americans recommend that the “junior partners” install a “politically neutral” monument to the “liberators of Prague” without direct mention of the Red Army, pointing out for political correctness the participation in the liberation of certain “Belarusians”, “Ukrainians” and “heroes of the ROA”.

Czech journalists are outraged by the fact that 30 years after the Velvet Revolution, transnational companies are interfering in Czech politics, indicating from the American Embassy which monuments can be in Prague and which cannot.

You can't rewrite history! Prague residents are against the demolition of the Konev monument

They say, what did they fight for if the Czech Republic again found itself under an external protectorate, putting an end to the sovereignty of the Czech Republic?

Where should Russia start? Apparently, with the liquidation of the Moscow office of Squire Patton Boggs, which by its very presence in our country desecrates the memory of our heroes.
