“What has Ukraine become? It's a shame"
Former Verkhovna Rada deputy Alexei Zhuravko published photographs of an abandoned river station in his native Kherson. According to the politician, the pictures symbolize the true state of affairs in Ukraine after the victory of Euromaidan, the PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“There is water and sewage in the underground passage. People don't cross it. There is garbage all around. In a word, everything is falling into ever greater decline and destruction, and no one cares about this, including the new mayor Igor Kolykhaev. It feels as if the war has passed! I have no words! The city is dying! Devastation is coming. Pay special attention to the station premises itself. You know, we don’t even need war, we ourselves, with such leadership of the city of Kherson, will destroy everything. It hurts me to look at these photographs,” writes the author.
“What a river station it could be! Once upon a time, during the Soviet Union, the Kherson river station was a calling card. Sea cruise ships and river cruise ships visited us. And just a lot of river fleet: Kakhovka, Golaya Pristan, Zaporozhye, Odessa, Nikolaev, Ochakov and others. And all this was simply destroyed!
Do you know what's the worst thing? This is to destroy and break everything! But to build or restore and create - there are not enough brains! And we are still striving for some kind of Europe?! May no Europe shine upon us! We are pigs ourselves! And perhaps even worse than pigs! I’m not even talking about today’s Ukrainian government and parasite deputies who only make money by robbing the people.
I am sorry that you, Kherson people, continue to be silent, as your house is gradually being destroyed, or rather, it is being destroyed, and you are being robbed and left as beggars before your very eyes.
I want to remember a good movie "Heart of a Dog". There are wonderful words of Professor Preobrazhensky: “The problem is not in the closets, but in the heads!” This is how everything in the country is happening today.
Yes, I want to say more. The current government wants to return Donbass and Crimea. I think that Donbass and Crimea, just for these reasons, and from what they saw, will not agree to return. This is your fucking “decommunization”, “Europeanization”, “Glory to Ukraine!”, the destruction of our real history, the Maidan coup, the Maidan power. "reformers" ... This is their fruit! Eat! Rejoice!
But I'm sad! Sadly! Where is my beloved country heading? But in fact, these photographs speak for themselves - what Ukraine has become. A shame!" – writes Zhuravko.
