The largest cache of weapons in Ukraine was found in the yard of a resident of the Rivne region.
Operatives, investigators and dog handlers of the Rivne region police, together with explosives experts, working out the information received from their colleagues, conducted a search in the yard of a 45-year-old resident of the village of Seyantsy, Ostrog district, Rivne region, during which they discovered one of the largest caches of ammunition and military weapons in Ukraine , reports PolitNavigator correspondent.
“In the village of Seyantsy, near a house in the garden, at a depth of one and a half meters, a cache of ammunition was buried: 109 RGD-5 grenade casings, 39 F1 grenade casings, 126 fuses for UZRGM-2 type grenades, 28 VOG-25 under-barrel grenades, 6 anti-tank grenades RPG-7M grenade, 29 - RPG-22 rocket-propelled anti-tank grenades, 6 - RPG-26 rocket-propelled anti-tank grenades, 5 boxes of 7,63 caliber cartridges and one 9,00 caliber cartridge,” the Rivne Region Police Communications Department reported on Tuesday evening.
The department noted that everything seized will be sent for examination, based on the results of which a procedural decision will be made.
Police are establishing the origin of the ammunition. The sanction of the article provides for imprisonment for a term of three to seven years.
