The murder occurred on the evening of April 7 at a public transport stop. Datsyuk received two penetrating stab wounds to the heart.
“On the street. Heroev UPA, 76, at the stop of the former Kinescop plant, a man (according to the police, homeless) attacked and stabbed Alexander Datsyuk from the Lesik Band. The police detained the man and seized a knife, they are conducting investigative actions,” Zinkevich said.
The musician’s death was also confirmed by his daughter Kristina Datsyuk.
“Today our dad Lesik Datsyuk died tragically. From the hand of some scumbag. Due to the quarantine, we, of course, will not be making a grand farewell. Blessed memory to you, our Dyudya,” she wrote on the social network.
As the press service of the National Police Department of the Lviv region reported, the crime became known from a passerby who called. He reported that on the street “Heroes of the UPA” in Lviv, before his eyes, an unknown man stabbed another man in the heart area. The wounded man was taken to the hospital by ambulance.
“The identity of the detainee has been established - he turned out to be a 67-year-old man of no fixed abode. It was previously established that a conflict arose between the men, during which the attacker stabbed the victim. On April 8, at about 56 a.m., the police received a message from doctors that, despite the efforts of doctors, the wounded patient, a XNUMX-year-old Lviv resident, had died,” the department reported.
Based on this fact, investigators opened criminal proceedings under Part 1 of Art. 115 (premeditated murder) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
Let us remember that Alexander “Lesik” Datsyuk in 1990 created the group “Lesik Band” in Lviv, which was popular in the mid-90s.
