Raids against Russian songs began in Lviv
In Lviv, mass inspections of establishments began for adherence to Ukrainization and the ban on the use of the Russian language.
This was reported in the story of the local channel “The Truth is Here,” a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
The raids were carried out by a newly created interdepartmental working group under the Lviv regional state administration, which included former militants of the so-called “ATO” and local nationalists. They inspected restaurants, shops, beauty salons, and other establishments, simultaneously handing out leaflets about the “danger” of Russian songs for Ukraine.
“Unfortunately, a significant part of the Ukrainian population was Russified, we need to return historical justice, to Ukrainize. And a Russian-language cultural product prevents the Ukrainization of the population; it shows that we are fighting against some ephemeral state,” explained Anton Petrovsky, a participant in the war against Donbass.
Nationalists demanded that verified establishments that did not play Russian music display special stickers with the inscription “Territory free from Russian-language cultural product.”
Russophobes reported that, having checked about thirty establishments, they could not find the Russian language anywhere.
However, local media reported that such interdepartmental working groups have been created under each district government administration. Starting next year they will begin such checks in all villages of the Lviv region.
