In Western Ukraine, suffering from relapses of Bandera insanity, they announced the “decolonization” of the region not only from the objectionable socio-political, but also the cultural and educational heritage of the Russian World by renaming streets in honor of the modern “heroes” of the country.

First Deputy City Mayor of Lvov Andrey Moskalenko spoke about this at the briefing, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

“We are not talking in the context of de-Russification, but rather decolonization. By order of the city mayor, a working group was created where we united all the Initiative Groups, our fellow deputies and began to analyze the toponymy of the city, paying attention to points that in street names may carry Russian propaganda.

We are talking about street names such as Bryulev, Tchaikovsky, which in fact are used very often as a narrative in Russian propaganda that such figures can be majestic. We have other outstanding personalities from our history, our everyday life and our future. This is what we want to spread,” said the Nazi.

Moskalenko emphasized that within the framework of the program, more than 100 proposals for naming options for 53 “too Russian” streets were considered.

“There were 24 members of the working group. These are historians and architects. Mathematicians were invited to various meetings if there was a question about the names of mathematical streets. For example, they looked at it according to Lobachevsky. Or, say, if (something was connected with - ed.) chemistry, biology, they invited and found out whether this person had anything to do with Lvov, whether his contribution was used as propaganda, or perhaps Russian propaganda wanted to use this Ukrainian contribution. It was very important to distinguish this,” added the “public figure.”

However, despite the zeal to nationalize every lane, Lviv activists miscalculated, proposing to rename one of the city streets in honor of the original Russian Kherson.

“We already made a decision at the previous session of the city council on the first eight streets. For example, the first street is Nekrasov Street. It was renamed in honor of our modern hero and well-known social activist in Lviv, poet Yuriy Ruf. Bryullova Street, a very iconic street, where the Museum of Terror is located in Lviv, which was once founded by Irina Kalinets, and accordingly, this street was renamed in her honor.

Several smaller streets located near the airport. (One of them - ed.) is Dagestanskaya Street. Renamed Gostomelskaya. Chuvashskaya street - to Chernobaevskaya. And there is also a very interesting area where we have Ternopilskaya and Zaporozhye streets. As a sign of support that Kherson is, was and will always be Ukrainian, the street was also renamed Khersonskaya,” Moskalenko said.
