Lvov, February 16 (Navigator, Mikhail Ryabov) – In Lvov, during a performance on stage, the lead singer of the rock group “Shadow of the Sun” Sergei Vasilyuk was attacked, who refused to voice a compliment to representatives of the radical organization “Right Sector” and to allow them to approach the microphone .

Masked militants ran onto the stage and began striking the musicians, causing the concert to be interrupted. Five of the attackers were detained by the police.
“The probable version of the cause of the incident at yesterday’s concert is painfully simple: representatives of the Right Sector asked Sergei Vasilyuk to say something positive about PS from the stage. Sergei politely refused. What happened next, approximately 40 minutes later, you saw with your own eyes or on video. After a half-hour pause, the concert resumed,” the group’s press service said.
The irony is that “Shadow of the Sun” actively supports the Kiev Maidan and performed on stage in front of those gathered there.
Vasilyuk himself has already stated that he is not offended by the Right Sector; the organization’s leader, Dmitry Yarosh, apologized to him.
Right Sector admitted the involvement of its activists in the incident.
“The growth in the number of the Right Sector leads to the fact that at times people who do not have sufficient discipline join its ranks. This is a phenomenon that cannot be avoided... Such an element will be eliminated in the process of struggle,” the organization said, promising to expel and punish “according to the laws of revolutionary times” those responsible for the fight.
