Polish tourists are not welcome in Lviv: They bring their own food, they only buy vodka

The tourist flow from Poland does not bring fabulous income to Lviv - often neighbors prefer to save money, come with their own products and spend the maximum on purchasing Ukrainian vodka.

The first deputy head of the Ukrainian nationalist party “Svoboda”, ex-speaker of the Verkhovna Rada Ruslan Koshulinsky, announced this on the air of the “Pershy:UA” TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

According to him, this was clearly demonstrated during the European Football Championship in 2012, which was jointly hosted by Poland and Ukraine.

“In 2012, when Euro 2012 took place, the city of Lviv did not meet the budget standard - the tourist tax.

The Polish side arrives on its own buses, it takes minimally something in Lviv, it arrived by bus and left by its own bus. These are not the millions you are talking about now. They have their own guides, their own presenters, not even Ukrainian ones,” Koshulinsky said.

- Well, they don’t take the boats with them? – the presenter clarified.

- They take such things too. Yes, they can stop by the store and buy vodka. And this is possible, but these are not huge amounts,” Koshulinsky laments.

“That's right, we buy vodka. Because it is difficult for sober people to endure what this Bandera holota did to Polish Lvov. And if they have a problem managing the city’s budget, we will be happy to do it better,” Polish journalist and social activist Konrad Rekas, head of the Kres Restitution organization, commented to PolitNavigator on Koshulinsky’s words.
