Activists of the public initiative “Economic Boycott of Russian Goods” released 46 mice in the Arsen supermarket, reports Zaxid.net. People accused the leadership of ignoring the resolution of the Lviv City Council on mandatory labeling of Russian goods.
“We want the mice to eat the Russian shit they give us. Our goal is to destroy cooperation with the enemy, and the enemy is Russia,” said one of the initiators of the action, Oleg Radik.
The store administrator claims that there are no markings because people already know “which products can be bought and which ones cannot.”
According to activists, the choice fell on Arsen because of the refusal of the supermarket management to collect food for ATO fighters. Residents of Lvov noted that almost all the stores in the city help the Ukrainian military.
As Navigator reported, on July 10, deputies of the Lviv City Council adopted a resolution according to which the city would introduce mandatory labeling of Russian goods. Products and price tags made in Russia must be marked with the image of the Russian flag, the corresponding products must be placed on separate shelves, and “Buy Ukrainian!” promotions must be carried out in the city’s retail chains.
