An exhibition was opened in Lviv in honor of the anniversary of the SS division “Galicia”

In Lviv, near the monument to Vyacheslav Chornovol, an exhibition of weapons and uniforms of the notorious SS division “Galicia” was opened, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
This was reported by the local publication Gal-info.
The event was dedicated to the 73rd anniversary of the creation of the SS division “Galicia”.
The publication notes that during 1943-1945, there was a unit within the Waffen-SS troops of Germany - the 14th SS Grenadier Division “Galicia”. It consisted of Ukrainians of the Greek Catholic faith.
On April 19, 1945, the re-equipped unit received a new status and a new name - the 1st Ukrainian Division of the UNA.
