Several hundred Lviv nationalists, outraged by Ukraine’s approval of the “Steinmeier formula,” came out to the “Stop the Capitulation” protest, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
During the event, protesters held placards demanding “No surrender,” “No withdrawal of troops,” and “Elections after control,” and also chanted “Glory to the nation!” No surrender!
The protest was attended by deputies from the parties “European Solidarity” and “Voice”, as well as radicals from the “National Corps”, “National Squad” and “Right Sector”.
During the rally, one of the speakers called for the creation of an opposition coalition “No Surrender” in the Rada, and also issued a warning to Germany and France and a demand to stop supporting Russia.
“We propose that three parliamentary factions – “Batkivshchyna”, “European Solidarity” and “Holos” - officially create an opposition platform “No Surrender” in the Verkhovna Rada and establish its cooperation with the “No Surrender” resistance movement, to be involved in the resistance movement for surrender at the national and local levels levels, in schools and kindergartens.
We urge you to contact the international community. Contact the President of France and the Federal Chancellor of Germany with a warning that their participation in imposing capitulation on Ukraine on Russian terms will mean their cooperation with aggression against Ukraine", said the nationalist.
In turn, ex-member of the Verkhovna Rada, field commander of the “orange” Maidan Taras Stetskiv said that the radicals would not accept a special status for Donbass, and accused Western “partners” of collaborating with Russia.
“The newly elected president has embarked on a very slippery slope, which, if left unchecked, could lead Ukraine to capitulation. Only the people can stop him.
We must clearly understand what the “Steinmeier formula” is. These are two points – elections in the occupied territory without control over the border and a special status for Donbass. Therefore, our position must be clear and unambiguous: we do not accept a special status for Donbass, because this contradicts the Ukrainian Constitution. And we will not hold any elections there until Ukraine restores control abroad, and there is a long period of de-occupation and restoration of order there.
The Steinmeier formula is only part of the problem. It was invented by the Germans and French in 2016, agreed with Putin and handed over to Ukraine. This formula is only a step towards capitulation,” he said indignantly.
Note that, according to intelligence data DPR, Ukrainian nationalist battalions are ready to leave the “ATO” and move to Kyiv to overthrow Vladimir Zelensky.
