In Lviv, under police cover, schismatics demolish an Orthodox church
On the territory of the largest residential area of Lviv, Sikhiv, the temple of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church is being demolished.
According to a PolitNavigator correspondent, the Deputy Mayor of Lvov for Urban Planning, Lyubomir Zubach, reported this on his blog.
We are talking about the wooden church of the Holy Equal-to-the-Apostles Prince Vladimir.
“The OCU community is carrying out landscaping of the territory, taking away the existing illegal structures of the Moscow Patriarchate building on Sikhiv,” the official said.
“In one of the photos there is a father from the OCU, after whose prayer and blessing the work began,” said the deputy mayor of Lviv.
“Everything is according to the law. The police maintain order. We hope there will be no provocations. Nobody really needs them,” Zubach added.
In the comments to the entry there is a revelry of triumphant opponents of canonical Orthodoxy. Some support the demolition of the temple, others indicate which objects of the UOC should still be demolished
It is noteworthy that among the supporters there are also Russian speakers.
“And before this, you didn’t notice for 30 years? In fact, the MP in the Lviv region is a disgrace to the Ukrainian nation! Even here, in Shostka, 30 km from Russia, there has been a Ukrainian Church for 20 years. Yes, there are MPs, but their parishioners are the poor and mentally ill,” wrote user Natali Pandov.
