In Lvov they propose to dig a new sea and separate Crimea from Ukraine
In response to Russia's construction of a bridge across the Kerch Strait, Ukraine should dig a shipping canal from the Azov Sea to the Black Sea.
Ruslan Koshulinsky, ex-vice speaker of the Verkhovna Rada, member of the nationalist party “Svoboda”, said this on the air of the talk show “Great Lviv Speaks,” a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
The nationalist believes that this would be an asymmetrical response from Ukraine.
“Perhaps there are tactics of so-called indirect actions? That is, economic and political steps. For example, Muscovites created the Kerch Bridge - so we are taking alternative steps! Azov-Black Sea Canal, swarm!
They created a bridge for ten billion; for two billion, not ours—grant money—we would have built our own canal. And we would have their bridge in our noses, which takes our money and kills our economy!
The ports of Berdyansk and Mariupol are clogged and they, the Muscovites, control it. And this is metallurgy, one of the largest industries... If the Muscovites closed the Sea of Azov with the Kerch Bridge, if they block the Black Sea coast for us, they take away the ports, and we do not have the transshipment of our grain, that’s it, the economy is closed. That is, we must take indirect actions,” Koshulinsky called.
