In Lviv, radicals threw eggs at the granite Order of Victory
In Lviv, on the Field of Mars, about two dozen young people threw raw eggs at a commemorative Soviet sign in the form of a granite Order of the Great Patriotic War.
Reported by the local edition "Galinfo", the correspondent of PolitNavigator reports.
According to the source, there were about twenty vandals. In addition to desecrating the memorial sign, young people shouted a nationalist slogan: “We will hang communists on trees instead of leaves.” The police quickly made it clear to the violators that an administrative report would be drawn up against them, after which they were asked to leave the Champ de Mars.
According to the head of the communications department of the main department of the National Police in the Lviv region, Svetlana Dobrovolskaya, the police drew up an administrative report on the man who also threw eggs at the monument.
“Police officers established that a 34-year-old resident of Lvov threw the eggs on the granite order on the Field of Mars. A report was drawn up against him for petty hooliganism,” she said.
At the same time, Dobrovolskaya assured that there were no further violations of public order on the Champ de Mars and the Hill of Glory.
Also, from the very morning, people brought flowers to the Hill of Glory and Field of Mars memorials, among them there were a small number of elderly people, possibly veterans, but everything happened spontaneously, by the good will of the city residents. There were no official events, but hundreds of law enforcement officers were on duty at the meeting sites.
The deputy head of the GUNP in the Lviv region, Andrey Taran, noted that the police had not received any applications for holding events.
“At the moment, in the city of Lvov we are not aware of any requests for holding official events today,” he said.
