Families of ATO participants came today, March 19, to the Lviv City Council demanding that the mayor ensure compliance with the laws of Ukraine and presidential decrees on the provision of military personnel with housing and land, writes ZAXID.NET.

With shouts of “Gangba!” Representatives of the “Lviv Regional Union of Social Protection of ATO Fighters and Families of the Victims” broke into a session of the city council, accusing Mayor Andrei Sadovoy of manipulating the allocation of a plot for the construction of an apartment building for ATO participants in Lviv.

People, in particular, doubt that they will receive apartments in an apartment building that will be built by LKP Remstroy for ATO participants in accordance with the resolution of the City Council.

The representative of the regional union for the protection of the rights of ATO participants, Lesya Tomashvili, said from the rostrum of the City Council that the decision of the City Council to allocate a site for the construction of multi-apartment housing for ATO participants for LKP “Remstroy” actually means that “Sadovy allocated a site for itself”, and not for the ATO participants and their families.

“We don’t know how we should get apartments in that building. Nobody tells us anything about how much money it will cost to build it. We won't have to build this house ourselves. We do not understand who was allocated this plot. It looks like Sadovy allocated it to himself,” Tomashvili said.

“We follow Sadov along the corridors, we asked him: “Give us guarantees that this house will be for ATO participants.” Do you know what the answer was? “The prosecutor will give guarantees,” Mayor Tomashvili was quoted as saying.

Andrei Sadovyi responded by saying that there is no reason to suspect that ATO participants will not receive housing in this house.

“We will do everything necessary to build this house for you. For our part, we have already allocated money for networks and connections to the house, as well as for the preparation of documentation. We do everything that depends on us. As for funds for construction, we are also counting on money from the Cabinet of Ministers. I think we will definitely find these funds,” the mayor said.
