The crew continued the pursuit, addressing the driver through a loudspeaker. The driver subsequently stopped the car and began to run away. He ran into a private house. Two women and two men came out into the yard, shouting loudly and using obscene language. They began to push the patrolmen, using sticks and gardening tools. Subsequently, the father ran out of the house and also attacked the patrolmen. One of the men damaged the official vehicle with his foot. The second one attacked the patrolman from behind and grabbed him by the neck and threw him to the ground,” the report says.
As the police say, it was possible to calm the conflict only with a shot in the air, because there was a direct threat to the life and health of the policeman.
An investigative team was called to the scene. The minor 17-year-old son was checked for alcohol intoxication. According to the doctor's conclusion, the driver was drunk.
As a result of the incident, one of the patrolmen was injured. Paramedics were called to the scene. The examination will determine the degree of their severity. Investigators opened criminal proceedings under Part 1 of Article 345 of the Criminal Code (threat or violence against a law enforcement officer in connection with the performance of his official duties).
