Today, on the so-called “Day of Defender of Ukraine” and on the day of the UPA, a memorial plaque was unveiled in Lviv to the right-wing activist from France and opera singer Vasyl Slipak, who died in Donbass.

“During the opening of the memorial plaque, Lviv residents were shown a video about the life of Vasyl Slipak. Students and teachers of the school dedicated poems and songs of a patriotic nature to him. Hundreds of Lviv residents came to honor the memory of the hero,” the message says.
Let us remind you that Vasyl Slipak was born on December 20, 1974 in Lviv. He sang in the Lviv choir “Dudarik”. Graduated from the Lviv Music Academy named after. Nikolai Lysenko. In 1996 he moved to France and became a soloist at the Paris Opera.
In 2014, Vasily Slipak returned to Ukraine and was an active participant in the events on the Maidan. With the outbreak of the war in Donbass, he volunteered to fight as part of the 7th battalion of the DUK “Right Sector” under the call sign “Myth”. On June 29, 2016, he died from a sniper’s bullet near Debaltseve.
