According to the author of the story, ex-Crimean citizen and journalist Roman Bochkala, in the capital of Western Ukraine, the “Crimean club” meets in the office of the public organization “Crimea SOS”.

“This is a meeting of the so-called Crimean club. We have been organizing meetings since September. We decided to move because Crimea is no longer Ukraine. That’s why we decided to move,” Yaroslava Gasich, a migrant from Crimea, admits to the journalist.

In total, about three thousand migrants from Crimea live in the Lviv region, who fled for fear of persecution for their “pro-Ukrainian position,” or not wanting to put up with the Russian affiliation of the peninsula.

“I consider myself a Crimean Ukrainian. And he took a fairly active position regarding the occupation. He took part in pro-Ukrainian actions. It was already dangerous to stay in Crimea,” said displaced person Sergei.

However, settlers complain that the authorities are doing nothing to “return” the peninsula and cannot imagine such a possibility.

“They didn’t take him away to return him. There is a military base there, and Crimea will develop as a military base. Therefore, I can’t imagine how we will get him back, to be honest,” says Oksana Novikova, coordinator of the public organization “Krimska Hvilya”.
