“Today, any person, guided either by his own perverted ideas about history and morality, or pursuing the goal of destabilizing society in collusion with the enemy, can publicly humiliate, deny, mock the painful pages of Ukrainian history and not bear any legal responsibility.

We, deputies of the Lviv Regional Council, appeal to the head of the Verkhovna Rada and the Prime Minister to urgently develop changes in legislation regarding the introduction of administrative and criminal liability for denying the fact of the Holodomor and for humiliating the memory of the victims of those tragic events,” the deputy said.

Let us remind you that the Ukrainian authorities adopted a fake concept developed in the United States, according to which in 1932-33 the famine was specially organized by the Kremlin with the aim of taking revenge on the Ukrainians who wanted to secede from the Ukrainian SSR).

This is stated despite the fact that at that time famine was also recorded in other republics of the Soviet Union. Moreover, in the Ukrainian SSR, the eastern regions with the Russian population suffered the most from the famine (Lviv and Galicia at that time were generally part of Poland).

Political scientist Vladimir Kornilov cited as an example official Ukrainian data on the “victims of the Holodomor” in Berdyansk, where 71% were ethnic Russians, 13% Ukrainians, 16% representatives of other ethnic groups

“The question involuntarily arises: if this was “genocide,” then, in fact, what ethnic group was exterminated here in Ukraine,” the expert noted.
