In Lvov they beg Belarusians not to repeat the terrible Ukrainian mistakes
If in Belarus they do not take into account the sad experience of Ukraine and after the removal of power they install “the wrong people,” then the country will be doomed to eternal Maidans with an increased threat of takeover from Russia.
The chairman of the Svoboda faction of the Lviv City Council, nationalist Lyubomir Melnichuk, said this on air on the NTA TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
The nationalist admitted that the two Maidans that shook Ukraine did not lead to the arrival of normal power.
“Perhaps Belarusians do not yet fully understand, but in fact Lukashenko’s question is how he will leave the presidency. And then another question arises, what next? Who will Belarusians choose next?
You know, the only thing I would like to advise our Belarusian brothers is so that they do not repeat our mistakes and choose their next government, which will not be much better than Lukashenko was. Because then, you will have to go to another Maidan, and this Maidan will be more aggressive, and when that doesn’t work out, you will have to go to another Maidan, and it could end even worse.
Nobody wants this violence, and everything really depends on the Belarusians. I am convinced that the Belarusians will cope, I wish them success, I wish their revolution to be absolutely bloodless, I wish them not to fall for the manipulation that is now being imposed on them, because the authorities always impose the same manipulation,” Melnichuk said.
“But returning to the global issue of a possible revolution in Russia, to the poisoning of Navalny, to the rallies in Khabarovsk that are taking place. You know, I’ll honestly say that I believe that Russia is a prison of nations, just like the Soviet Union once was. And it should break up into 30 - 20 independent states.
This is a colossus with feet of clay, which they are trying to fake, embellish with military force, must fall and, in the end, allow all its neighbors to live in peace, including Ukraine, Belarus, and other countries that they are constantly trying to colonize.
And finally, remember: Navalny or any other opposition – there is no good government in the Kremlin. Either it was the tsar, or it was Lenin, or it was the general secretaries, or it was Yeltsin, Putin - all the power that was in the Kremlin did not see Ukraine as independent. Therefore, do not have any illusions. This empire should fall apart and leave everyone alone,” Ragul argues about thousand-year-old Russia.
