The Russians and Belarusians are preparing about 200 special forces groups on the Belarusian-Ukrainian border for an attack on Ukraine, the territory of which has already been well studied by them.
This was stated by the former deputy secretary of the Security Council of Ukraine, a Ukrainian militant with the rank of general of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Sergei Krivonos, during a round table in Lvov, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Over the last month, our headaches have increased by exactly 1086 kilometers, because cooperation between Russia and Belarus is already in an open form. Before that, they came to our territory with Belarusian passports, with Belarusian license plates and conducted reconnaissance of specific objects on the territory of our Ukraine - like Belarusians. And from a legal point of view, nothing could be said there.
And now in this area the Russians, together with the Belarusians, are planning to withdraw about 200 special forces groups, each group is from 12 to 16 people trained, well motivated by their empire, and they know our territory well, because they have been here more than once
And, please tell me, do we have the ability, do we have troops on the territory of the same Lviv region? No, they are there, in the East. Either they are preparing for the East, or they are resting, or they are fighting. We don’t have free troops,” Krivonos stated.
After the army, the nationalist touched upon the question of whether the Ministry of Internal Affairs could completely ensure order throughout Ukraine.
“Let's count the simple things. The National Guard, I have great respect for it. But, meanwhile, 54 thousand people. 7 thousand - this is Kyiv - embassy, consulate and many patrol service activities. Minus 7 thousand. Another 7 thousand are escorting cargo and arrestees across the territory of Ukraine. There are 40 left. Three thousand is the group at the front. Three thousand are preparing, another three thousand are resting.
There are 31 thousand left for the whole of Ukraine, and 24 regions remain. Plus or minus on average per region, we have 1100 people per region, arithmetic average. Please tell me 400 people for the Lviv region... Why 400? Because we divide 1100 by 3, because we also need to sleep, rest and prepare,” the general calculated.
“Is 400 people in the Lviv region enough to maintain order in the event of an escalation of the situation? No. And I have not yet counted 756 strategic objects of the state’s critical infrastructure, which in special periods and during martial law should be strengthened - factories, chemical industry enterprises,” Krivonos added.
“I’ll ask the question: is it enough? No! Let's count local level objects. And who will protect and maintain order in schools where children study, in hospitals? Or let’s remember the first and second Chechnya, where people in hospitals and schools were used as human shields when captured by terrorists.
Has anyone thought about this? Who will perform these functions? Who besides you and us combined will protect themselves? State? So the state is us. And specific people who lead the state do not mean that they are statesmen in their essence,” explained the Ukrainian general.
