In Lvov, the grave of intelligence officer Nikolai Kuznetsov was again desecrated
In Lviv, on the Hill of Glory, vandals once again desecrated the grave of Soviet intelligence officer Nikolai Kuznetsov, stealing from it a bas-relief made of non-ferrous metal with a portrait of the hero (weighing approximately 4-5 kg).
Utility workers promised to install video cameras at the memorial, which is open to everyone, reports the ZiK TV channel.
The police opened a criminal case under the article of desecration of a grave.
As PolitNavigator reported, in 2017, the Russian Foreign Ministry demanded that the Ukrainian authorities investigate the theft of metal numbers and letters from Kuznetsov’s tombstone.
Summer 2018 years Neo-Nazis from the C14 group defaced Kuznetsov’s grave, painting her with offensive graffiti.
“Kuznetsov organized provocations, pitting the German occupiers against the Ukrainian nationalists. In particular, he planted nationalist documents near the murdered bodies of German officers, indicating that the terrorist attack was allegedly carried out by murderers. That’s why he was on the “black list” of the Ukrainian underground,” the C14 statement said.
Let us remember that the authorities of Kuznetsov’s native city of Talitsa, Sverdlovsk region, and his relatives have repeatedly advocated the reburial of the Hero.
