In Lvov, a journalist who was deported from Russia was released on bail
In Lvov, journalist Elena Boyko, known for her participation in Russian talk shows, was released on bail. She was deported from the Russian Federation for violating immigration laws, after which she was immediately arrested by the SBU at the border.
State Duma deputy Sergei Shargunov reported this on his blog, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Journalist Elena Boyko, accused of “separatism,” has just been released on bail in Lvov. But her trial continues to drag on. The same woman who was shamefully extradited across the border. Thanks to everyone who helped her collect this ransom. I will help Elena with a lawyer,” Shargunov wrote.
In mid-February, the court set the bail amount for Boyko at 160 thousand hryvnia, which is about 6400 US dollars; relatives collected the necessary amount via the Internet.
