In the Lviv region, attackers from one military unit stole components and spare parts for MiG-29 aircraft for sale, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
This was reported by the press center of the SBU.
According to the intelligence service, the attackers tried to sell the products to a representative of a commercial structure.
Law enforcement officers detained the defendants in the case while transferring stolen military property to an entrepreneur. During searches of the houses and cars of the criminals, a large number of spare parts and components for MiG-29 combat aircraft, as well as money obtained illegally, were confiscated.
As part of criminal proceedings under Part 3 of Art. 410 (theft, appropriation, extortion by military personnel of weapons, ammunition, explosives or other military substances, vehicles, military and special equipment or other military property, or taking possession of them through fraud or abuse of official position) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, the persons involved in the case have been declared suspicious.
