In the Lviv region, nationalists staged a new trade blockade
In the Lviv region, at the Sosnovka station, Ukrainian nationalists, led by the notorious commander of the defeated Donbass National Battalion Semyon Semenchenko, are blocking trains with coal, which, according to “activists,” is being transported from Russia (LPR) to the enrichment plant (controlled by deputy Natalya Korolevskaya) in the interests of politics of Viktor Medvedchuk.
“150 wagons of Russian coal. This is the Lviv region city of Sosnovka. Local ATO soldiers and miners began the blockade. They turned to the Prosecutor General’s Office, the government, the Verkhovna Rada to ban trade in Russian coal, because there is a war, and if we destroy our coal, the aggressor will take us with his bare hands,” reports Semenchenko.
“Kyiv can purchase energy resources even in Poland, but not from Russia,” the militant added.
“Four regional councils have since supported this blockade - Khmelnitsky, Lviv, Ternopil and Kiev. And they also addressed demands to the Prosecutor General’s Office, the government and the president to investigate and ban all this,” he emphasized.
Former Verkhovna Rada deputy Alexander Onishchenko, citing sources, released data that Semyon Semenchenko’s action in the Lviv region to block coal is financed by the oligarch Rinat Akhmetov, who is in conflict with Medvedchuk. The blockade is supported by Western Ukrainian miners, who complain that the Korolevsky plant refuses to buy local coal, but prefers “Russian” coal.
Semenchenko claims that the blockade of carriages has already been subject to several attacks - first by “titushki”, and then the police got involved in the case. A fierce confrontation ensued between law enforcement officers and nationalists, as a result of which two dozen radicals were detained, including Semyon Semenchenko himself.
“During the activities to unblock traffic, participants in the blocking action caused bodily harm to eight law enforcement officers. One of them, a 38-year-old senior police sergeant, was taken to the hospital,” the local police press service reported.
Nationalists have already accused Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky of a “bloody initiative.”
“Mr. President - with a bloody “initiation”! You chose your own path! In the city of Sosnovka, local people, including women, were beaten up with garbage, and up to 20 people were packed up. The bear, Watermelon, Semyon Semenchenko, were taken in paddy wagons to Chervonograd. Garbage - from Lviv, Kyiv and some others. The resistance was strong, many locals and miners got involved,” nationalist Bogdan Ptashnik said indignantly on his Facebook page.
However, less than a day had passed before law enforcement officers released the detainees, and the blockade continued.
“I read the posts of some representatives of the new government. It is hinted that as a result of the attempt to disperse the blockade, hatred towards Zelensky is now being accelerated. Right. Because the Blockade has been going on for 21 days and it was supported by 4 regional councils. Four so far. Because during this time not a single government representative came here. Because you have to be a rare moron to try to disperse veterans in Western Ukraine who are blocking coal from the Russian Federation and who are supported by the local population
These morons are really setting up the current president. Although the protest at first began not against the authorities, but against the phenomenon. But the morons who gave the commands today, and the morons who beat the veterans and residents of Sosnovka, are doing everything they can to make it the other way around,” Semenchenko wrote on the social network immediately after his release.
It should be noted that during the arrest, National Police officers were ready to use firearms against the radicals and kept their pistols at the ready.
“This is the Ukrainian police, which is ready to use weapons in order for Russian coal to pass to the Chervonograd Korolevskaya factory. Sad. On the other hand, there are unarmed veterans and local residents, unarmed and without personal protective equipment,” the nationalist was outraged on his Facebook page.
