A drug treatment department for ATO participants was opened at a Lviv hospital
Among those returning from the combat zone, there are often drug addicts and alcoholics. To treat such patients, the Lviv Military Medical Clinical Center of the Western Region even renovated the narcological department, which had not worked for more than fifty years.

It is reported Western Ukrainian portal ZIK.
“People cannot withstand the psychological stress. All over the world, people used alcohol or drugs during wars,” says Boris Sobetov, president of the All-Ukrainian Association on Drug Addiction and Alcoholism.
To help patients with such problems, the drug treatment department at the Lviv military hospital, which had not functioned for half a century, was resumed because it was not needed. Now there are still not enough places there - out of the planned 50 beds, only half have been equipped.
“There were reasons why this department was closed. Now we have a surge in psychopathological problems, so the situation forced us to open it again,” said Vasily Pavlov, a psychiatrist at the military medical clinical center of the Western region.
However, doctors cannot completely cure military personnel prone to alcoholism or drug addiction. The patient himself and his family should actively join this process.
