A visitor beaten by security at a Lviv nightclub dies

Today the police received a report that on Rimlyanina Street in Lviv, security guards of an entertainment establishment beat one of the visitors. The man died before the doctors arrived, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

This was reported to the National Police in the Lviv region.

“An investigative team worked at the scene of the incident. Law enforcement officers identified the deceased - he turned out to be a 31-year-old resident of Chervonograd. Based on this fact, criminal proceedings have been initiated under Part 2 of Article 121 (intentional grievous bodily harm) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine,” the National Police reported.

The article provides for punishment from seven to ten years in prison.

A pre-trial investigation is being conducted to determine the circumstances of the incident. A forensic medical examination has also been ordered, during which the man’s cause of death will be determined.
