Are you out of vodka? – Navalny’s wife flew to Germany
The wife of opposition blogger Yulia Navalny arrived in Frankfurt am Main (Germany) on Wednesday.
This was reported by Der Spiegel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“While Russian media claim that Navalny’s wife left her homeland out of fear, in Berlin there is talk of a private visit to Germany,” the report said.
“Is that it, is the vodka finished?” – publicist Yegor Kholmogorov sarcastically recalls how the Navalny couple, a few days ago, heading to Russia, copied a scene from the film “Brother-2”.
“This is the end of the project,” journalist Maxim Kononenko commented on the news, referring to the “Russian Tikhanovskaya” project, that is, Navalnaya’s nomination as a candidate for deputy of the State Duma of the Russian Federation “instead of her husband.”
However, not everyone agrees with him.
“The next step is a meeting with Tikhanovskaya, a visit to Strasbourg, a visit to Berlin. And some things need to be taken from Freiburg, Ibach and hidden in the right place,” wrote political scientist Alexander Sosnovsky living in Germany.
Vadim Manukyan, an expert at the Media Commission of the Public Chamber of the Russian Federation, also writes that the Navalnists are establishing contacts with the self-proclaimed “leader of the Belarusian nation” Svetlana Tikhanovskaya.
“By the way, an insider about Volkov (Navalny's ally - ed.). The other day he met with Tikhanovskaya in Lithuania. They discussed the topic of joining forces, as well as supporting each other, the oppositions of Russia and Belarus,” Manukyan wrote.
By a strange coincidence, in the morning the liberal TV channel Dozhd interviewed Tikhanovskaya.
“Well, in the fight for democratic values, why not. I don't know how about taking your husband's place. I didn’t take my husband’s place. But Yulia can support him and continue the fight as she sees fit,” said “President” Sveta.
Thank you!
