“We have enough water, taking into account the emergency reserve, for 45 days – until November 1,” he said.
To reduce the load on the Chernorechenskoye reservoir, they plan to connect additional water intakes. According to the acting deputy Governor of Sevastopol Andrei Pozdnyakov, they reopen the valve on the lake near Mount Gasforta.
“Thus, we are extending the waiting period for rainfall,” the official said.
Significant replenishment of Sevastopol’s water supply systems is also expected from the Vilino-Peschanoe water intake, which belongs to the Republic of Crimea. You will have to fork out more to pay for water. For these needs, it was decided to allocate 12 million rubles from the reserve fund of Sevastopol.
In addition, the first priority is the restoration and reconstruction of the Oryol water intake, its putting into operation, which will provide Sevastopol with another 120 thousand cubic meters of water. If work starts on time, it is planned to be completed by the end of October.
Let us remind you that earlier, during drought, Crimea used water from the Dnieper, but after the reunification of the peninsula with Russia, Ukraine limited supplies.
