Maidan paramilitary groups turned into racketeers and looters, expert (VIDEO)
Kyiv, June 26 (Navigator, Vladimir Raichenko) – In Ukraine, recently there have been increasing cases of looting committed by groups from the Maidan and covered by some kind of revolutionary expediency.
The President of the Ukrainian Federation of Security Professionals Sergei Shabovta said this at a press conference in Kyiv.
According to him, the arbitrariness of the guys in balaclavas is a natural stage in the development of a months-long process.

“Then these events were not given a proper assessment or it was commented on in some lulling way,” Shabovta noted. – I have repeatedly pointed out publicly that the signs that appeared in the plural, especially in a certain period of time, “The facility is under the protection of the Right Sector” or “The facility is under the protection of the Maidan Self-Defense” are an illegal phenomenon, reminiscent of the “protection” of businesses by various kinds of dubious "authorities" in the 90s. At the same time, the gentlemen in balaclavas reinforce their illegal existence by the presence of weapons in their hands, which until recently was considered a flagrant crime and caused an appropriate reaction, including from law enforcement agencies.”
Also during the press conference an assessment was given seizure of an oil refinery in the Kirovograd region by the Right Sectorwhich happened the day before.
“It seems that there is not enough looted - they took on material-intensive objects, while reasoning that, based on the information received, we decided that the enterprise allegedly belonged to the Yanukovych family or people close to it,” believes the president of the Federation of Security Professionals. “But this approach will lead to the fact that they will soon begin to seize the apartments of those who participated in certain demonstrations.”
