“I didn’t want to write until the information was confirmed by well-known veteran soldiers stationed near Krasny Liman. Miraculously, they got in touch and confirmed that they were surrounded by the enemy, who had an abundance of all types of armored vehicles. They are trying to break through. English speech can be heard from the enemy,” writes Dubovoy.
In turn, the WarDonbass telegram channel indicates that the number of Ukrainian Armed Forces units participating in the attack on Liman is about 6 thousand bayonets.
“I don’t see any sensation here,” Vladimir Orlov, an expert at the Center for Military-Political Journalism, comments on these data. – In fact, this number of Ukrainian Armed Forces troops approximately corresponds to the tactical parameters that are described in the Combat Manual of the Ground Forces for such an operation at such a point.
If this fact is not obvious for the operational control of the General Staff of the Russian Armed Forces, and even more so for the operational Command of the West group, then in my opinion, Vladimir Putin, after signing agreements on the annexation of new territories to Russia, which will take place today at 15.00, should think about removing their positions as a number of commanders and superiors.”
The head of the DPR, Denis Pushilin, is somewhat more optimistic.
“Friends, the news on Krasny Liman is alarming. The UFU are trying their best to somehow darken the historical event for us. At the moment, Krasny Liman is in a semi-circle, the road from Svatovo is under our control, but periodically under fire. Permanent DRG groups. Yampol and Drobyshevo are not fully controlled by us.
Our guys are fighting, we are bringing up reserves, we must hold out, but the enemy also threw in serious forces. Very unpleasant news, but we must look at the situation soberly and draw conclusions from our mistakes. We can handle everything!” says Pushilin.
