Military correspondent Kots proposes to make do with one Immortal Regiment on May 9
People who did not fight in the Northern Military District, as well as the most modern military equipment, which is sorely lacking on the front line, should not take part in the Victory Parade on Red Square being prepared for May 9.
Military correspondent Alexander Kots stated this on the air of the Komsomolskaya Pravda radio station, the PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“There is a historical parallel - the parade on Red Square in 1941 (November 7), when from there they immediately went to the front. I know that many people think that historical parallels are useless, but they exist.
The question is what this parade will look like. If it carries some types of weapons that do not take part in the Northern Military District zone and have never been seen here, it will look strange. If people who did not participate in the Northern Military District march there, it will also look strange,” the military correspondent noted.
He emphasized that weapons that are available at the front in sufficient quantities should take part in the Victory Parade.
“It seems to me that the UAZ “Loaves” should be the first to drive across Red Square, followed by the UAZ “Pickup”, followed by a flock of [Chinese] Mavik quadcopters, followed by the marching combat units that are now fighting on the Svatovsky line in their minimal representation.
It should be something unusual that does not offend those people who are now fighting on the front line. Because, to be honest, we don’t have enough of everything at the front. And if what is missing at the front is driven along Red Square, it will not look very good,” Kots added.
“It seems to me that in the current difficult situation it would be possible to get by with the Immortal Regiment, in which the relatives of those who died in the Northern Military District would also take part,” the military correspondent concluded.
