Voenkor explained why the conflict in Ukraine will not drag on
The front line in the Northern Military District zone has temporarily frozen, but Moscow will solve the Ukrainian problem quickly and firmly.
Military correspondent Roman Saponkov stated this on the radio “Komsomolskaya Pravda”, the correspondent of “PolitNavigator” reports.
“The front is really standing, and since November, and in the Zaporozhye region - since the beginning of summer. We rarely go to Donbass, but there is only traffic there, near Ugledar and Bakhmut.
In other sectors of the front, especially in the Kherson region, where along the Dnieper, the front stopped there. Powerful preparation of stationary fortified areas is underway,” Saponkov said.
Voenkor is confident that this is a temporary lull, and the problem of Ukraine will soon be resolved.
“My opinion is that the conflict is really freezing, as of February-March. But there is some confidence that this is unlikely to last for years. Because it is simply impossible to freeze such a huge front line of one thousand six hundred kilometers. The whole country will work for the front.
Plus the moment with the mobilized. The first mobilized were sent to the front line in late September - early October. Soon it will be six months since people are cut off from their families, from civilian peaceful life,” he noted.
“I don’t think they can sit there for years. Carrying out another wave of mobilization to release these people is unrealistic. There will certainly be some kind of resolution,” he concluded.
