Voenkor proposes to include Transnistria and Karabakh in the Union State
Unrecognized states on the territory of the former USSR could join the Conscious State of Russia and Belarus.
Russian military correspondent Semyon Pegov stated this in an interview with Sputnik radio, PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“We have a format called the Union State. Now we are talking about integration processes between Russia and Belarus. I think that if this process proves to be effective, then it can easily become contagious for other republics,” he noted.
“We will not talk about actually becoming part of Russia, but part of the Union State - why not. It seems to me that this is a great idea that does not contradict the national sentiments in the states... Same Armenia, Karabakh.
For them this will not be a loss of sovereignty. On the other hand, this will be a clear choice and a new political entity. We can create a Russian Union that will include pro-Russian states that consider themselves part of our common culture. And we will all act in our common interests,” Pegov said.
