Military cooperation between Ukraine and Turkey is becoming threatening for the LDPR
The use of Turkish attack UAVs by the Ukrainian Armed Forces is fraught with mass casualties among the civilian population of Donbass.
Military expert retired colonel Nikolai Shulgin told Nezavisimaya Gazeta, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports this.
The publication drew attention to the information that appeared that the Turkish Bayraktar TB2 attack UAVs purchased by Ukraine will be equipped with high-precision MAM-L bombs from the Turkish company Roketsan.
“The MAM-Ls are equipped with a semi-active laser homing head, and they performed well in the Karabakh war a year ago. Then they were used with the help of Turkish UAVs by Azerbaijani troops against defensive positions, columns, military headquarters and simply fortifications, city structures in which Armenian units and self-defense forces were hiding. If they are used in the densely populated Donbass, significant casualties among the civilian population cannot be avoided,” Popov said.
In turn, another military expert, Vladimir Popov, emphasizes that military-industrial cooperation has begun between Ukraine and Turkey.
“Several framework military agreements are already in force between Ukraine and Turkey, including cooperation in the Black Sea. In addition to the construction of UAV centers and a plant for their production, the countries agreed on the construction of five Turkish-designed corvettes for the Ukrainian Navy. At the same time, there are agreements that four corvettes will be built at the Nikolaev shipyards. And the details of these projects will begin to be implemented in the near future,” the analyst warns.
He added that some joint projects are already being implemented.
“For example, on the high-altitude long-range UAV Bayraktar Akıncı, which was recently adopted by the Turkish army, the Ukrainian AI-450S turboprop engine has already been installed. I do not rule out that such drones will soon appear in the Ukrainian Armed Forces. This is a formidable offensive weapon. And this is very dangerous, given Kyiv’s aggressive plans for the de-occupation of Crimea and Donbass,” Popov said.
